Goldie

This morning Tom came in so excited and said "I forgot to tell you who I saw yesterday!!!"  I said Who? And he replied  "GOLDIE!!!" I'm thinking Goldie Hawn? A person, no maybe a cat by his office because he's named all of them.
 One of the chickens, did he name them Goldie?   I'm about ready to give up and he points to the waterfall. "Goldie, our goldfish. She's still alive! "  I think the reason he is such a happy person in life is because even the smallest things make him so happy. I need to be a little more like that.

Yesterday we went with W&C to The Imitation Game. My favorite quote from the movie:

Straight A's equal Aquarium Day

Tom and I took Boo and Seaara to the aquarium today for their straight A's. I told Tom on the way in I was a little nervous with all the people and children since it's almost vacation time.
 Boo told me " Mimi, you're so Germatic." I think this is dramatic and germaphobic combined.




And Boo told me last night if I go to Mexico one more time without him I'm going to owe him Mexico, FL, and a CA beach vacation. Then I was tangoing with Killian this morning and he told me "Mimi, will you take me to the beach? I'm ready to get out of this house." Oh man, don't tell them. Ha

And Chick fil a afterwards.  Then on the way home Carole called and said she had her grandson Asher and he was hungry & would like to see Gavin. So we decided to meet at Del Taco so the kids could play. Tom decided to take a nap in the car while Carole and I caught up. About an hour later he came in saying "I am really ready to go home, I can't believe you guys are still in here talking".  So I said OK we'll go. When I went out to the car the hood was open. I thought Oh he must be looking what kind of air filter I need as we've been talking of getting a new one. No, the battery was dead from him listening to the radio. So neither of us had jumper cables and we had to call Wendell to rescue us. Carole and I were still laughing. Tom wasn't....but he got over it quick.

  

New Year's Resolutions and New Year's polar plunge.

01.01.15 AM  Text from CLAY~ Killians New Year's "revolution" is to go to Mexico to the beach and I have to tell mimi. Just saying.... 
   Last night Tom and I went and had prime rib with Marsha, Gary, Ron, Carolyn, Cheryl and Charles at the Moose Lodge. Then Boo wanted to spend the night so we went and picked him up. His resolution "is to fall down less and score more touchdowns." 
   Last year my resolution was to move more and to run downstairs and meet the UPS guy everyday at work. I succeeded in that one. So much so that he honks now when he pulls up. I figure I need the stairs and steps much more than he does.

 Tommy and Boo went to the polar plunge behind the clubhouse. Boo really wanted to do it but not where everyone could see him. So they came home and he jumped in the waterfall. Up to his knees anyway. I think he got that out of his system. The temperature was in the teens.

And my new years resolution for 2015? To be outside more and soak up more sunshine!
