Grammy Wednesday

I had visions of a picture of cute little babies feet in the toddlers hands and what I got was Big babies feet in Gavies hands. I should've tried for this shot about 2.5 months ago!

And ideal day for me, making cookies with Boo and hanging out with him and Baby K. (Oh, and not gaining weight while I ate those cookies, and not worrying about this ecomony would also be nice to add...and hanging out on the beach with Tom & the family wouldn't be bad either)

Gavin found this picture and just loved it, so Clay told him to pose like the doll and we got this pic.

Gavin is so funny and Tom called him a comedian. He said "I'm not a comedian, they're in the pet store and mommy said they're nice and eat crickets". We finally figured out he was thinking of chameleons.

Grandma Joan ~ We'll miss you. Thanks for being such a great Mom!!!

Our loving wife, mother, grandmother & friend passed away Feb. 16th 2009.
Mom was born Jan. 6th, 1938 in Woodbine, KS to Leona &
Ralph Oesterreich. She is survived by her husband of 53 yrs Thomas L McCarty,
sons: Bobby (Cindy), Tommy (Pam), DeWayne, and Shawn (Michelle),
7 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren & her brother Jack Loy.
She was proceeded in death by her son, Timothy, brother Gene, and parents.
We couldn't have asked for a better mom,
even though raising 4 boys was quite a challenge.
A skunk under a bucket, snakes in the milk box, a burnt down
horsebarn, smoke bombs in the kitchen, and a pigeon in the dryer were all
a normal day in the life of our mom. She was a stay at home mom, an
excellent cook and always there for us.
A celebration of her life will be held at Tate Mortuary 110 S. Main St in Tooele, UT
Fri. Feb. 20th at 11:00 am. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services.
We'll miss you mom. I love you. I love you more.

LOVE THOSE BOYS!

I love this picture Chels took of the boys this week. It is so priceless. They all came over yesterday and we had a great day. Gavin is so observant and I had some potpourri in a pottery bowl. He asked "Where you buy that?". I told him "Pier One Imports", he said, "No, probably P.S. Store". (He calls the NPS Store, P.S.)

The view from both sides of the Door.

Here is a picture of Gavin & Tom looking in the hospital nursery and next to it a picture was taken on the other side of the door with Clay & Killian showing what Gavin was looking in at. Do you think we had enough cameras that day? ha

Merry Christmas to all.

Not sure we'll ever be able to top this Christmas. Like Gavin said "Everybody's Here!" We had my mom and dad from Colorado, Tom's parents and the arrival of Killian. Gavin asked Santa "Do you bring shishing poles?" and he was very excited when Santa had left him one Christmas Morning. Hope everyone had a great Holiday. Love, pam and tom xoxoxo
We didn't think Gavin had it figured out that Tom was Santa because he just played right along and even acted really shy everytime Santa came around. Then during our annual Soup and Santa party Gavin turns to Tom in front of everyone and said "Papa~go put your costume on!" Chelsea is saying Shhh... It was pretty funny. We can't pull anything over on him. He did have a ton of questions about the reindeers though.

How the Family Cheerleading Team's Day went....

We started out in the hospital lobby

Barb (Tara's mom)giving us an update. Barb is also a nurse and was a great help to Clay & Tara in the delivery room. It gave us great piece of mind to have her in there.

Then we decided to move to the cafeteria.

Then we moved to the secured doors where we could look down a long hall at the delivery room door and watch for any action of nurses coming in our out.

We just heard the news that he is here. This picture Tom took makes me tear up everytime I look at it. We were so happy he was here.

The proud daddy telling us the details.

And finally we get to meet him. He is gorgeous!

Daddy and Aunt Chelsea giving him his first bath.

Aunt Chelsea showing Tara the first pictures of bathtime.

He has really big feet!

Then Tara & Clay were asking for cheeseburgers. As Tom and I went to get them for the whole "team" it reminded me of the day Clay was a little boy and hit a Grand Slam and we rushed to Arby's to get the whole team lunch to celebrate!

Tara (and Clay) had a long, rough day but Baby Boy McCarty is here and is perfect. He was born shortly after 8pm. Weighed in at 8lbs, 1 oz and 21" long. His feet are Huge, and he has long blond hair. I'll put more on later, but just wanted to post a couple pictures so you could see how beautiful he is. p.s. he may not be fitting into those cute newborn outfits....

CUTE POEM FROM MY NEIGHBORS ACROSS THE STREET; DAN & LISA

Hello and Happy Thanksgiving!

Turkey, yams and mashed potatoes
Green beans, ham and stewed tomatoes
All make for a handsome feast
But among it all, these mean the least.

For it is each other we hold dear
And cherish near this time of year.
So among the celebration and the lovin'
I'd like to announce: "I have a bun in the oven!"

Love,
Dan and Lisa

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

We are so thankful for all of our family and friends. I hope everyone has a great day with the ones you love. Here's the latest picture of Tara, Clay and the baby. As you can see Baby Boy McCarty is still in the oven, But he's almost ready to come out. Clay called the other night and said Tara's belly button is starting to poke out. We're wondering if it's like our Thanksgiving Turkey's timer. Hey Mom and Dad~
Look, we used your 54 yr old wedding china for dinner! Scary...we didn't break any. xoxox pam
