Boo's first golf lesson.

Boo took his first golf lesson yesterday. I called to ask how it went and he told me "I'm the next Babe Ruth!.....I mean Tiger Woods!"  Guess he did good listening to Coach Ryan and learned things Papa's been trying to teach him for months.
Yes, what would I do without my camera and pictures?

Mimi Day 061312 Swimming & Fishing at Stansbury

Besides going to a couple of Boo's swimming lessons I have never "hung out" at Stansbury swimming pool in the nineteen yrs we've lived here. Our kids were teenagers when we moved in  and would rather swim in the lake.
Today Chels swam with Emma & Boo,  and Carole and  I just sat back and gabbed and enjoyed the sun rays like we were at the country club. .
It brought back such good memories of my childhood in a small town in KS where we lived at the swimming pool every summer. I have memories of my mom and siblings and aunts and cousins all there and the really good looking life guard named George who  lived in CO in the winter and returned every summer. All the older woman used to "swoon" over him! Our last summer in KS I was there so much they hired me. (I think I was 11, can you say child labor?  Not sure if I even got paid or just got to swim for free)  One of the best summers of my youth.  And I'll have to ask my  mom if she remembers any gossip on old George.
In my next life I'll hang out at the local swimming pool more.

Boo caught a big old bass and his mama caught a carp.

Mimi Day 061312 City Creek

Looking at the fish.
"take my picture by this Mimi". That's unusual....

We stopped at the new City Creek mall for lunch and to play on the playground.

Mimi Day 061312 RED BUTTE GARDENS

Looking for bugs with Papa

Emma & Boo posing on the giant lizards

We have his picture on this big moose every year.

Ducks eating out of his hands.

Stopping long enough to smell the roses "6 yr old Boy style"

Gavin loves going to Red Butte Gardens. Except for last year we've went every year since Gavin was 2. I wasn't sure why he loved it so much. Was it the flowers, the fish, the spitting water snakes or the peace of being up there? Today I decided it's all of the above, but mostly it's the bugs. Orange dragonfiles, butterflies, huge bees, ants, rolly pollys. He came prepared with his bug box and had a blast. Tom, Chels, Carole, Emma, Boo and I all went.

Mimi Day: A Big Bass and a Baby Bird

Boo's Big Bass of the day. Chels & I went for a walk and he caught it with Papa.

Boo found this baby bird that had fallen out of it's nest. He and his mommy couldn't find the nest he came out of so they smashed worms and put it an eye dropper and fed him. We warned him chances are he won't make it, but they're trying. Boo has named him Gary.

The Week-end

A soccer game, a graduation party, a boat ride, fishing, frog hunting, and Boo saying "This is the best day ever"

K practicing being a big brother. He's going to be the best.
