The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

For years I have had season tickets to the Grand Theatre with my girlfriends. Each year we talk about not getting them & doing something else, but we know that is the one thing we all try to make so we can get together at least 4 times a year. The Wizard of Oz is one I was looking so forward to but we're going out of town that day. So I gave my ticket away & took Boo & Tom last night. I love my girlfriends, but I am so glad I got to go to this with Boo. We smiled and laughed the whole play. It was really well done, they had a real dog, and the theatre gave us front row seats. It was a good night, even tho "Toto we're not in KS anymore....".

ROAR, The lion was his favorite.

Big Papa's 75th Birthday, again, and Boo's Student of the Month award.

Big Papa was in the hospital for his 75th Birthday, so yesterday we took out lunch and a birthday cake and celebrated it again.

We're so proud of Gavin for being the first student of the month in his school. Chelsea said after being in the classroom with the other kids, HE DESERVES IT!!!!!

Only one more soccer game this year. Chels & I about froze on Saturday. Boo did kick two goals in though.
Our old neighbors, who are soon to be our new neighbors, were in the neighborhood, so we had to go to La Fra for dinner. Boo wanted to take a picture of them.  Cute looking couple, huh?

A conversation with K

Mimi: "Hi Killian. Do you want Mimi & Papa to come visit you in a couple of weeks?"
K: "Yes!!!  Will you bring presents?"  haha   You bet I will......

Look what the wind blew in. A nice Wed surprise.

Clay had a 2 hour layover between San Diego & Great Falls today so we got to go grab him for lunch. A mama's always happy to have her kids together & get to feed them! We asked Boo since it was Mimi day and we were going into town would he like to go to the zoo or Nps thinking that was a no brainer. He chose NPS, but with the stipulation if they didn't have Pokeman cards, then he would go to the zoo. Well the weather was yukky and windy & rainy so after having lunch with Uncle Clay we decided on the aquarium, Costco & NPS. When we walked in Boo sniffed and said "Ahh, good ole NPS, I love the smell here". Oh Dear. It doesn't smell that good & when he was a newborn we swore we would never bring him there, but now he loves it as much as me & Chels. You won't find Clay in NPS! He doesn't even like us to buy him anything there. ha

Mom and Dad's visit

Gpa Bud & Boo looking for lizards, or horny toads, or something that crawls fast....
Mom & Dad took a vacation to Bryce & Zions & swung by our house also. We made vinyl for their new Winnebago. Mom & I pampered ourselves with a wonderful massage at the spa. Chels gave us glitter toes. Chels, Boo & Dad went lizard hunting. Tom, Boo & Dad went frog hunting on the golf course. We went to Farmers Market and we just ate and talked and played and had a good time.

Gma chose purple, Chels orange and me Pink. All with Glitter of course.

Gma riding Boo's John Deere trike
Boo swatting bugs with Gpa Buds electronic flyswatter.

Just hanging out. Love this self portrait they took in Zions.

We took a drive to Park City to go to the Silly Market, the Olympic Training Center, see the leaves changing, and ride the Alpine Slide.

Boo found the cutest caterpillar while standing in line for the Alpine slide.
Boo chose to ride with Papa "Because Papa is toughest."  I reminded him Mimi may go slower, it didn't help.

"If I were a rich man"

This is Toms newest house. I wish we would've taken pictures before they cut the grass & weeds down. It's turning out so beautiful and has an amazing view. Last night we were over there and Boo asked Tom "Papa can my mom and I buy this house?" Tom told him he didn't think they had enough money. Boo said very seriously "Papa, I have a couple hundred dollars in the bank and I will give you everything I have if we can buy it".  Ahh, if only we were rich it would be his.

Newest Boat on Stansbury Lake

Last night we were sitting on our boat dock and our neighbors pulled up in this boat to ask if we wanted a ride. It was pretty nice and Tom wants one really bad. I put the Stansbury Real Estate on the picture to see how it would look. This guy kept telling us how "If Tom got a client in here and showed them around they would buy on the lake for sure." Wish it were that easy.

Zucchini~George Strait~and Boo in the middle of the girls.

I'm am not Martha Stuart. I need to be reminded of this once a year when I bake all day. Made 7 loaves of Earth Bread (two fell in the middle) and dozens of Zucchini Choc Chip Cookies (these went flat~what the heck did I do wrong?) They tasted much better than they looked and there is a reason I don't bake for a living. However I did buy George Straits new CD to listen to while I baked and it was pretty good. He was HERE FOR A GOOD TIME and not sure I lived up to that expectation. However Boo Loves eating cookie dough.

Madison, Allison, Boo, Chels  & Coco driving the golf cart to a bar b que. I offered to send flat cookies but they sweetly declined.

The Denver Broncos vs The Help

Dear Denver Broncos: Thank you for playing so late. I asked Tom to go with me to see the movie The Help tonight. He wasn't to thrilled about it, but enjoyed it until Clay called  while we were driving home & asked why he wasn't watching the football game. Luckily when we got home it had barely started. Whew....

Driving the golf cart.

My little chicken farmer

K called this morning to wish me a Happy Grandparents Day. Such a thoughtful little boy. Yesterday morning he went out to gather the eggs and accidentally dropped  one. He told Tara with a sad look on his face:  "the egg hatched".

Nine-Ten-Eleven

Gav's Dad pays him $1.00 per goal.  His Dad missed this game, but we kept score and he's going to be a rich boy by the end of the season.
Taking a well deserved break during his soccer game.

Eating at our favorite fast food restaurant.

Then we shopped at NPS until Coco's plane arrived.

Age

Last night I told Boo when I got off work we would go to a park to play. He chose a park that was next to a skate park in Stanbury. We took his John Deere tricycle & he had fun riding around. It went from "Mimi look at me, watch me, catch me on the slide"  to being ignored when other kids came around. (I swear he went from age 5 to 15 in 10 min) I was sitting by myself watching him, feeling about 100 and a neighbor stopped & sat next to me and started talking. This neighbor is in her late 60's, very attractive, walks all the time in  a differn't outfit everyday & really struts her stuff. Gavin came running over when he saw her and said "Mimi I wanted to meet your friend".  I was so proud of him & he was so polite & carrying on a conversation like an adult. As he was running off to play again he stopped & said "I never met your friends before" and I said "Yes you have" to which he responded  "None of your old ones"  Not much you can say to that however I tried to explain I'm sure he meant old as in I've known her for a long time. ha

Sunday~Time to say Good Bye~until next time....

Riding on the Luggage Cart

On our drive back to SPO to catch our flight we stopped for a picnic at Kootenai Falls Park. We hiked back in to see the waterfalls & walk on the swinging bridge. The River Wild was filmed here & The Kootenai Indians believe this is a place to go for visions or meditation.

SAT~Flathead Lake by Bigfork, MT

The water was beautiful at Flathead Lake & shallow for a long way. K didn't like the waves so Tara and I built him a barrier out of logs. He threw rocks for hours.

K met a friend. "My name is Gabriella, but you can call me Gabriel or Gabri, but you can't call me Gaby because my mom doesn't like it" She was a Gaby if I ever saw one, but the most sharing child I've ever met.

The Boys fished.

Since we were in the Wild, Wild, West we had to hit Moose's Saloon (open since 1957) and have some pizza & beer. I think we got out of there right before the bar brawl hit.

When K was going to sleep I asked him how it made his tummy feel being thrown up in the air and he told me "Proud".
He also pointed to the curly telephone cord & was saying ZEBRA TAIL. Tara and I are looking at each other like What? Then she realized he had never seen a telephone cord before.
