Saturday; SLC to_SFO Santa Cruz Beach and 17 Mile Drive thru Pebble Beach

First Beach Stop for lunch~Santa Cruz Harbor

Golfing at Pebble Beach was $495.00 for 18 holes. We laughed about who would pay that. Then we got to talking we've spent that on other things this past year and if we golfed here we would remember it the rest of our lives. So Tom has added this to his bucket list and hopes to go back someday. However he did get a golf hat, ball markers for his buddies and scorecards and pencils.

Sunday 02-26-12  "Let's go to St. George for the week-end"
Tuesday 02-29-12 "Delta has cheap airfares to CA this week"
Thursday 03-01-12 "Weather forecast is cold in St. George, gas keeps going up, Monterrey is on my bucket list....and we deseve a vacation!!!"  ha (I always use that one)
Saturday 03-03-12 "Can you believe we're in CA?"

Mimi Day~Leap Year

LeAp YeAr ~ 2012 ~ What a good day......
Today is Tom's 12th Anniversary of becoming a broker and opening Stansbury Real Estate. He was working for Frank Jones at Country Air Realty and loved it. Then Frank announced he was closing his office. Tom was upset because he didn't want to work for another real estate company so he went back to school and got his Brokers License. At the time it was a little stressful, but he did it and it was a good decisison. Well today after school Chels & I took Boo to McDonald's for a little treat and who is sitting in McDonald's? Frank Jones and his wife Chris with their grandchildren. This is unusual as they live in Bountiful, UT and I hadn't seen them in years. What a nice surprise to visit and catch up.

Other Good Things That Happened Today:
Tom and I started the day running into SLC to Sams and he got new batteries and cables for his golf cart so he's back in business. Golfing business that is.
Killian had a Dr appt in Helena because his therapist wanted his hips checked out and they checked out great.
I delivered an antique window with vinyl to the Childrens Justice Center and they loved it.
I got an email that my Blog Book was shipped today. It's over 200 pages of our life in 2011.
And I am so proud of Tom for working so hard that I booked us a vacation for this week-end.
Too bad Leap Year is only every 4 years. I think it's one of our Lucky Days.

K's Daddy took him bowling and he loved it!

MIMI DAY 022212 Such a nice day, went to the park, the skate park, and looked for bugs.

Boo: "When I become the President of the United States I'm going to make a law that no one can kill bugs"
We've seen worse laws.
millipedes~they make your hands smell. Who knew?
and he had a yucky tummy in the evening and he was laying on the couch and I was rubbing his feet and explaining how on the bottom of his foot, right in the middle was where his nerve endings for his tummy are and he said "Then why doesn't my foot growl like my tummy". Good question.

Mimi Day 021512 Boo got to go on our "Date Night" with us.

We stopped and saw Big Papa & Peggy first. Big Papa's computer and cell phone had both quit working. So Tommy unplugged and replugged the computer back in, I called AT&T and took the battery off his cell phone and put it back on and Ta Da, they both worked great. He thinks we're pretty smart. We're just lucky.
We met Wendell and Carole for dinner at PF Chang's and went to the Now I Can Photo Exhibit in Orem where a BYU Student photographed kids with CP while they were doing intense therapy.

This picture reminded us all of Killian and his walker. His name was Cayson. I texted that name to Clay & Tara because I liked it.

In some of the pictures the kids were crying and frustrated. I loved this picture because she's
sticking her tongue out at the photographer. This is something I can see Killian doing, then laughing.

He asked Tara last week  "Mama will you teach me to walk?" and his mommy and daddy are doing everything and every therapy possible to make that happen.  In between school therapy and swimming therapy this week he asked Clay "Dada, can I drive and you sit in the backseat?". Knowing his sense of humor I told Clay I love how he teases. Clay said "He was 100% serious, no teasing". Ha   They better start hiding the car keys.

and upstairs from the exhibit was a really cool little museum. Carole was sad because there were awesome antiques and they wouldn't let her buy any of them.

"Chels and Carole" being "Chels and Carole"

Army Guy and
Rocks. Two of his favorite things.

Valentine's Day Cards

from Tommy. So simple and beautiful, on the front....

from K, little handprints cut out for the hearts.

from Boo.

I leave Boo lots of notes when I go to work and he's still sleeping. They usually include X and O's and / or hearts. Boo told me "You always leave me loving stuff"

Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah Zip-a-Dee-Ay

My, oh my, what a wonderful day!
Plenty of sunshine, headin' my way,
Zip-a-dee-doo-dah
Zip-a-dee-ay!

Yep, I totally stole this from someones else's blog because I wish I would've thought of it. Last year one day I was having a kind of "off" day and then Gavin comes in and says 'Do you want to hear the song I learned in school  today?" and this was it. All I have to do is think of this song and I see his smiley face and it makes me smile.

Another thing that makes me smile today....Thinking of yesterday when we skyped K and he was asleep. It was so sweet I could've just kept the camera on him and watched him for an hour.

And while playing The Wii game I asked Boo "Do you know what nunchucks are in real life?" and he said "No, I only know what they are in fake life."

And the next president is....

Boo: "Papa, what would happen if the Presidents body guard shot him?"
Tom:  "His body guard wouldn't shoot him or they would be out of work, if you were the President do you think they would shoot you?."
Boo: "They wouldn't shoot me ~ I'd be a good President."

Uncle Wayner's Birthday and the "guest straw"

Since we were in a Mexican Restaurant, Boo asked if he could have the kind of drink he had in Mexico. So we got him a Strawberry Daiqurri and Chels & I both had to taste it. Notice the two straws..... He told Chels the 2nd one was the "Guest Straw".

Back to work to rest up.

This morning I am back to work to rest up. This was our week-end.
Fri Night: Dinner at PF Changs & the play 39 Steps at the Hale Theatre in Orem with Kari & Leroy.
We came home to a slumber party with these cute little kids. They were very good but I can say If there were any cobwebs in our house, there no longer are!
Sat: Chels and I took the kids to Kangaroo Zoo. It is a warehouse that they've put padding on the ground and about 15 bouncy houses and slides. For the parents they've put in wifi and Chels and I found two leather recliners and the newest People magazines and just chilled out while the kids were bouncing off the walls.
That night we were invited to Tracks for their last night open as Tracks.
and Sun we went and had lunch with Big Papa and Peggy for Uncle Wayners birthday and shopping.
Yes, some days I'm happier than others that I have a wonderful job to go to.

Mimi Day 012512 The new Natural History Museum of Utah

The Booism of the day was I was showing him all the moccasins the Indians made and I told him
"This is what the shoes looked like in the olden days" and he asked me very seriously;  "Which ones did you wear Mimi?" I said "No hundreds of years ago they wore these" to which he replied "Weren't you alive hundreds of years ago?"  Good things he's so cute.

 First People's display.

We loved the new museum. The architecture and colors and displays are so nice. I could tell Boo loved it because when we were leaving he asked "Can we come back here tomorrow?"
I can't wait until Killian comes to UT so we can show him.
