Boo and Papa's Fish of the Day

Today was the golf tournament Tom was in charge of and all went well. When it was over Boo was so patient as he and Chels helped us clean up and unload coolers,tables & chairs all the while asking "I go to your house shishing today?" He and Papa only got to fish for a little bit, but luckily he landed this beauty to make his and our day.

Gavin (thanks to Mimi putting the worm on the hook) caught this big old bass and he said: "Papa's going to be so happy!!!" The smile he gets when he's reeling in a fish is priceless. Worth touching & tearing worms in half....

Chelsea called yesterday morning & I heard Boo ask her in the background "Mom~is today MiMi day? When Chelsea answered Yes, he said "Awesome!" We had a fun day, took some pictures and caught some fish. He even caught a Big Bass on someone else's lure & line that was broke off. When he saw it he said " I need Papa". Luckily Wendell was over & helped him with it. He was more excited about the lure he caught than the Big Bass.

Happy Six Month Birthday Baby K.

Hard to believe Killian is already 6 months old. I got to feed him banana's last night. I would've taken pictures as he was so cute, but I had banana's on my hands, a little on my face, and I was trying to protect the food because he was trying to grab it. I guess I couldn't get it in fast enough. He was so cute, and it was so fun.

Luckily this weather was the day after the wedding.

It looked like we were driving into a wall. We stopped at Limon so mom and I could have some ice cream and french fries (I think the guys ate a little more sensible, but not much) and it moved north before we hit Denver & had to fly out. Whew....

The outdoor wedding in KS was wonderful. It was at the Kuhrt Ranch in Edson, KS. It was built in the 1800's and was beautiful.

We're all sitting around Killian on the floor & he rolled over and we all cheered. Gavin said " Where's his Trophy?". It was that exciting!!!

Oh Boo, I love you.

Gavin came over & wanted to fish so bad but we were out of worms. So we dug in Papa's garden, got some worms, and he caught about a dozen fish on Sun. When we bought that house 16 yrs ago I told Tom it will be a great place for grandkids to visit. And Boo has made us appreciate it even more.
He also saw a spider yesterday in the house and he asked if I had a slapper (a fly swatter).
And he's learning "what words we don't say". We were talking about catching a Big Bass and he asked me "Is it OK if we say BASS?"

BABYFEST 2009 AND LACEY'S GRADUATION IN COLORADO

The "Boys" this week-end

Boo wanted to go outside, but couldn't find his levi's to put on. So I'm standing in the kitchen and I hear his little voice saying "Mi, Is this a good idea?" And I see him standing with a small towel in place of his jeans. Both boys always keep us smiling.

Boo's Birthday

Last night was Boo's Birthday. We all went to La Frontera for dinner because he wanted rice & beans. Then back to Chelsea & Josh's house so we could watch him get his surprise, a four wheeler from mom and dad. He was so excited. We went in to open more presents & after a couple he announced: "I'm done in here" and headed back outside to ride.

Monsters & Aliens & A Wedding

Saturday Tom and I took Boo to the movies to see Monsters & Aliens. He was so excited to see it. Well it starts off with a girl getting ready for her wedding. Not a little or big boys favorite. During a quiet spot he asks me very loud: " MI, where's all the monsters & aliens?" I think he thought we were in the wrong movie. It did pick up with monsters & aliens, but he ended up falling asleep about an hour into it. It was OK, but I don't want to sit thru it again. Maybe the 3D glasses would've helped. And Gavin did like it, and the popcorn & snacks.

Boo brought his baby ducks over to show them where they are going to live when they grow up and can't stay at his house anymore. They had never been swimming before and they loved it.

BUT THEY GOT USED TO IT FAST.

Killian's 1st ST. PADDY'S DAY

Killian was all dressed in green to celebrate St. Patricks Day. His hair even had a tint of red. I think he is going to be a true Irishman!
