Flag football and and a much appreciated kiss

Today was Boo's flag football game. The last couple weeks he's been the ball hiker. Not a lot of action but at least he's got to touch the ball. Well this week I think he found his spot. He got 6 flags which are equivalent to 6 tackles, kind of.... Chels was out of town so we gave her a play by play text of the game. When the game was over we went to tell him good job and he gave me a big kiss and hug without asking. This doesn't sound that big except he's at the age I have to beg for kisses. So I m not sure if he was so excited for playing well or missing his momma, but to get a kiss in front of his team and Dad I'll take it. Yes, some days are just better than others.....

Boo is Seven and we took a road trip to Big Papa's house.

Birthday Breakfast in Bed with a new Book.

Big Papa was sitting on the front porch waiting for us.

Boo said "This view is so pretty and pretty is not a word I use very often".

I did the vinyl and Tom put up the sign.

I told Boo we would see Deer or I would pay him $5.00.  Saw lots of them.

Stopped to look for "gold in the river. Found lots of pretty rocks.

My gift from the Double K's.

Soccer and Football

It rained on the soccer game at 3:00 but Boo still scored 4 goals.
Then the sun came out for his 4:00 football game. Being a baseball mom my whole life I asked Boo if he liked football better than baseball and he said "Oh my gosh Mimi, I love football!" It was pretty exciting.

And once again it's time to say good bye as they head back to Montana.

Sandwich Hug.

I wrapped 7 presents for him to unwrap along the way. He could not stand the anticipation so we let him open up the first present. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.

As Tom and I were kissing them good bye for the hundredth time she puckered up and gave us a real kiss.

And they're all set to go.

Monday

Clay, Tara, Killian and Kinzi went to the Museum of Natural History today with Grammy Barbie. Then at night we volunteered to babysit so Clay & Tara could go out on a date to a movie. It took 5 of us, but they got baths and playtime until mommy and daddy got home.
Didn't like bath time in Mimi's sink.

Liked dancing to Aunt Chelsea's cell phone.

Sun was Papa Wendell's birthday breakfast. Clay, Tara ,Killian and Kinzi were his surprise.

Waiting at the front door for Papa Wendell to answer.

K fishing with Dad.

Cute little sun bonnet.

 Laughing with Tara's Aunt Yvonne.

K going for a boat ride with Uncle Travis.

Getting ready for a group photo of Wendell and his kids, and grandkids and siblings.

Our cute little grandkids.

 Peter and Boo.

Getting ready to go to dinner and K playing video games. He didn't want to go to dinner so I stayed home with the boys. The parents said no video games if they stayed home, so we played Memory and Dominos. Fun quality time with them.

Spur of the moment trips are the best.....

Clay & Tara decided a couple of days ago to come to UT. We're so excited. They arrived
Sat night around 10:30. Gavin drove us crazy on this end asking Are they almost here? and Killian
drove them crazy on that end counting mile markers and minutes on the clock. The bonus room always gets used when they're here. We stayed up until 1am.  It took Kinzi a minute to warm up to us, but she finally did. And every time I look at her I can't believe how beautiful she is.

Opposite Day for Dogs, NPS and taxes, and MT kids a swinging.

Punkin was being wild and Gavin said he was the dog whisperer and whispered into Punkins ear "Be a good dog."  Then Gavin told us "Punkin said it's opposite day!"

Taxes are finished and into the taxman. As my reward I decided I was going to NPS because it was on the way to the taxman. I shopped for an hour and ran out of time.  Then on the way home I decided it was on the way home also so I went back. Kind of sad I could've went to Gateway or City Creek or anywhere and I chose NPS twice. Our taxman said they went to Maui before tax season and going to Costa Rica as soon as it's over. Guess I need to raise my standards a little higher.
Kinzi swinging for the first time. She loved it.
